Mt. Romney has grown to become on of the highest mountains in the Western Hemisphere. Recent changes in banking laws in Switzerland caused Willard Romney to move money from many of his secret accounts to the Caymans. Tax experts say that the secret accounts in Switzerland don't offer the degree of anonymity and tax protection that they did several years ago. The banks in the Cayman Islands have become the best place to shelter money from taxes. That's why Mt. Romney has grown so rapidly over the last few years.
A team of climbers from Bain Capital became the first ever to reach the summit of Mt. Romney where they planted an American flag. One climber said, "We beheld the pinnacle of success. We realized Romney could buy anything he wants -- even the Presidency of the United States." The avalanche occurred during their decent. They managed to avoid being buried by tons of cash by reaching one of the many available tax shelters just in time.
One climber speculated on the cause of the avalanche. He said, "It's possible that Willard just moved an enormous amount of illegal campaign contributions from special interest groups into his Cayman account. That made the mountain unstable and the money began to trickle down which sparked a huge avalanche." Another member of the Bain team said, "I thought we were going to be crushed. My whole portfolio flashed in front of my eyes."
